I would pick the Kabalevsky. It isn't as played, it's fun, and it's concise. IT might be a breath of fresh air to those judges after hearing a million Mozarts, Ravels, and Gershwins.
If it is the first movement, I would not pick the Mozart (the third movement, however, is a tour de force--nevertheless every wrong note sticks out! Find my post of this piece somewhere way back to know that ). Having played this, I found that the first movement with it relentless triplets, sounds much easier than it is, and is (I hate to say this of my favorite composer ) a little tedious for the piano solo.
Pick the Ravel concerto - it is the best concerto on that list.You'll find that this concerto is very Mozart-like (as Ravel intended) so the texture is quite simple and any mistakes you make in the fingerwork will stick out.
I agree... Few weeks ago i learnt the first movment; it gets boring sometimes. My teacher said it would have to be just perfect to match the competition since it's harder than it sounds.btw i downloaded your performance...well done
