hi guys,
on: September 23, 2007, 09:06:16 PM
My name is shevy (girl) and i'm 21. I've been playing the piano for 10 years.
I thought of learning musicology in a university, as i'm not sure wether i'll be accepted to an acadamy at the moment. But i decided to try, and then to back off to musicology.
Besides listening and ear training, i have to give a recital. All pieces are to be played by memory and one should demonstrate a virtuosic technique. They have to consist of the poliphnic, classical, romantic and modern/impressionistic eras.
I chose Bach, prelude & fugue 12 in F minor second book
Beethoven, sonate opus 14 no 1
Bartok, romanian falk dances
Debussy, gardens under water,estampes.
The Debussy i finished a year ago. i need a few tips for refreshing my technique.
And i'm not a big fan of playing pieces by heart. It makes me nervous.
So please send your answers, views, help, or anything else you'd like to share..
much appreciated,
shevy

i love piano! isn't it the best thing in the world?
