Do we have any impovists out there who play Blues/Jazz who are at quite a advanced stage?

I play myself and kinda hit a brick wall.....oh yes! I know some nice pretty complicated chord progressions for soloing ect, but I would love to exchange some ideas with some people out there in my position.........can you please e-mail me and perhaps we can exchange techniques via midi files, I think this would be a great idea to share styles.

I know this is an old post, but my suggestion is to transcribe solos from recording and learn them like you would a classical piece.. and if you hear something you like analyze and steal the idea.. work them the common keys first (C, D, F, G, Bb, Eb Ab) and later in the other keys.  you can always get a transcription book, but thats like using cliff notes, so i wouldn't recommend it.

I think this is the best way to acquire technique on jazz piano since you are learning stuff that you will actually be using on your solos.
