I know this is an old post, but my suggestion is to transcribe solos from recording and learn them like you would a classical piece.. and if you hear something you like analyze and steal the idea.. work them the common keys first (C, D, F, G, Bb, Eb Ab) and later in the other keys. you can always get a transcription book, but thats like using cliff notes, so i wouldn't recommend it.
I think this is the best way to acquire technique on jazz piano since you are learning stuff that you will actually be using on your solos.
