What song is this? Driving me bonkers!
on: August 11, 2008, 04:51:00 PM
Hey gang

I have this pop song in my head and it's driving me BONKERS because I don't know what it is or who performed it!!!  It's from the 70's or 80's and is often on the radio or as dance remixes.  It has a driving beat and uses synth / electronics.  If I remember, a woman and a chorus of women sing it.

If I start it in the key of C major and in the octave of middle C it goes something like:

CCCC, EEEE, GGG, (E-DC) <--next octave up

Then the chorus is:  CCBbC, G, G, C (FEC) <--next octave up.

Kind of crappy notation but I'm at work.
Hope you guys can help!
Thanks!

Knowing the song won't help you, and might even help you memorize the tune. Sometimes I can sing an entire song just because I remembered the title.  :P You don't want that. Summon another tune, something catchy enough to throw off the first one, yet you can live with it. Think of it, meditate on it, hum it, sing it even.

Haha that song's so cool!  The little synthesize doing the CCBbC etc. thing makes me laugh.
