Good day good day. In the residential city, I never get a stillness such as that.

Yeah, there's always some kind of tradeoff.  For about 9 months I lived in a city that is 25 times bigger than where I grew up (and still live) and the house I lived in was set right against a very busy highway.  It was *never* quiet and restful there.  You could always hear the cars, and it's not just that you could hear the cars, but you could feel this kind of constant movement, too!  All the time, day and night.  But, I enjoyed being in the actual city, too, but not for the usual city life, I guess.  I didn't go bar hopping or dancing or anything, but rather to the farmer's market and Saturday market and those were great there!  And there were delicious resturants, too :).  My favorite Thai resturants are there!

But, yes, here it's very quiet.  You can hear coyotes every night, deer are all over town, there are bears and cougars right on the edge of town, and if you want to get somewhere even MORE quiet, you can be completely immersed in hundreds of miles of pure forest in every direction in about 10 minutes!  When you go there without anybody else, THAT'S quiet and still!!  (except, there's always the chance that something wild is sneaking up on you  :-).

It's also super quiet under the ocean :).

Yes. I love it out in the country. A five minute walk, my GF, a cell phone with chopin on it, and a bicycle always causes the best day. There is a park not to far. Off to the side, is the forest, and it gets so quiet there that you could cry hearing the music and your GF is staring you in the eyes like "Wow. So this is my BFs life." (She never understood quietness and its amazing beauty.) I also love to be in a concert hall alone playing Rachmaninoff. It brings tears to my eyes BC my mawmaw played it when she divorced. She played it amazingly. I get such an incredible moment in a few days at a HUGE church in atlanta with a brand new Bosendorfer. :D

Thank you. I can't decide what I like more... Recording alone in a huge harmonic chamber for a church or in front of thousands of people in balconies and in suits and dresses... It would be a sight.

But... I love the silence.

Women do not understand quietness and they rarely experience it as they cannot stop talking.

I took my GF into the woods once. 5 years later and she is still there.

Hmm well funny theres this boy with me at music theory... and we usually go home with the same bus..... and he just talks and talks and taaaalksss aaaaallll the time!!! And he mostly just talks about how very talented he is and how great he is.... and I'm just like  ::)  ::)  ::)
Oh and my dad! When he starts talking he just doesn't stop for hours!!!!! He just keeps talking and talking and we're not even listening to him anymore because we don't have time cause we have to do some other things... you know and then you go into another room or into the bathroom and when you come out after like 15 minutes or something he is still talking and doesn't even notice that you weren't listening anymore..... so..... yes..... I think you got that a little wrong Thal!  :P  :P

Do not make a sexist comment. I know woman who hate noises. (Mom.) I also know woman who can stop talking. It is highly stereotypical to say such a thing about woman. (No matter how right I think you are! :D)

I'm back I'm back!!!!!!!!  :)  :)  :) It was cooooooooooooooool!!! sooooooooo coooooooooool!  :P  :P  8) well I don't really know how I played cause I haven't listened to the recording yet but everything was really cool and people said I played very well... my mum said I never played so well before and my teacher said I played well (which she usually doesn't say) and one girls mum said that (that girl that was with me at the exams last year) and then her mum asked me if I was going to do exams for two grades again this year and i said I wouldn't (don't think I'm that good! that would be just too much)... and then there was also one woman from where my dad works and also one teacher from my school! So there was a lot of people! and then after the recital we ate cookies and candies and all that and I drank three glasses of orange juice cause I was soooo thirsty! So it was all REALLY COOL! well I don't know if I'll like the way I played when I listen to it but it was COOOL!  8)

Oy vey!  I am practice saturated, but I can't quite bring myself to go completely away from the piano (well, I mean, it's sitting right there no matter what I do).  Time for other projects!  I always think though "Oh, just sit down and do that one phrase just for fun  ;D" ... and then I say "YES!!!  A THOUSAND times, YES!!!"

I meant in speaking of course, not in person, a tiny Italian.  Or *like* a Guido.  Ich kann als un Guido sein.  Is dass richtig?  Or it is "als ob?"... Ich kann als ob un Guido sein?

Well then say it in Italian!  Posso essere un piccolo Guido.  Doesn't make much sense - mainly because Guido is only a name - but then neither does it in German!  ;D  Now, if you said "Posso essere una piccola guida"  you'd be saying you can be a little guide.  Like a tour guide.   8)

Yesterday my friend came for a visit for a whole day! And it was really cool, but then just before she went home when it was really late already she started talking about some horror movies  ::)  ::)  ::) And she was showing me some pictures on the internet and she wanted to show me some videos on youtube (but fortunately some didn't want to work because it said it wasn't appropriate for all viewers) but it was enough what she did tell me and show me and I felt so horrible and I was sooo scared that I almost didn't sleep till 6 am !!!  ::) Cause my brain just starts working too much and I get sooo scared and nervous! I just hate horror movies!!!!!! They should just distroy all the horror movies!!!  >:( I hate feeling so bad and scared!!!   >:(  :(
And then I had to get up at 9 am anyway because I had to go get a doggy that we'll be looking after for a week! And then at 10.30 I went back to sleep again and I slept till almost 2 pm  :o and in the evening I got really sleepy again and fell asleep and I woke up just about a half an hour ago or something  ::) I just hope I won't be scared again!!!  :(  ::) And that I can sleep ok tonight!!!  ::)

I saw something weird in the sky again... something that I thought could have been a UFO! But it wasn't like last time... (with the lights and all that)... now it was more like a shadow gliding over the sky... pretty fast... but it was too big for a bird or a bat (it was kinda too dark for a bird already)... and this time I was looking at it near the window but it went by too fast for me to get a camera and record it (but it was probably too dark anyway)... I don't know why I always see this things! Oh well...  :P

I earned 100 euros during the holidays!!!  :P  :)  8) Because I was taking care of a doggy again  :) and they said they would pay 10 euros a day and so then they gave me 100 euros for 8 and a half days!  :)  :)  8) ... but I'll have to give 60 euros next week for my piano lessons for December...
And now someone said if I could translate something (from English to Slovenian)... and she would pay me too... but it's really a lot and it's kinda complicated because it's for college and it's something about linguistics and sign language... and some things are pretty complicated... so I'm a little worried...  :-\ But I'll sure try!!! Actually I better start soon!! And maybe I can ask here if something will be too complicated for me to understand  :P and then maybe Bob can help me  :D ... or even Ahinton... cause he's good with complicated sentences!  :D  :P ... or whoever wants to help  :) well we'll see  :)  8)

As I implied above, I'm not so sure that I'm all that "good" at anything, really - I just try to do what I do in the best way that I can and know how - and, for the record, I've yet to be convicted of anything that obliged me to serve a "complicated sentence".

Dear tendery hearts, Do you want to know something that is all goldeny?  Today I went to a solo piano concert and it made me feel like I was dancing inside.  Sometimes I wanted to jump out of my chair.  Sometimes, do you know what?  Strangely, I felt as though he were playing just to me!  Even in a room full of people, it's as though he inwardly found me, somehow.  Which, is interesting as I've considered lately this very thing but from the curiosity of the performer's point of view.  As a performer, what if I inwardly found one person and played to that person?  That's what I think about, and what if that person from today thinks the same way?  And, what if that person who he found just so happened to be me?

Do you know what else?  It's like the whole world made sense for awhile.  And, it's like at first I was the one playing ... I mean, I felt myself up there playing inside of his own hands ... but it's like they were mine and I was playing.  And, it's like I could smell the piano.  I've smelled the piano before, did you know that?  Have you ever smelled the piano?  Sometimes playing has this kind of scent.  Well, tendery heart, I hope you are not mad that I wished to ever so slightly break your shell for a moment to tell you how much I love the piano.  And, I am so very grateful to my dear teachers.

I'm.... feeling intrinsically bursty and melty?  ::)  Um... spiritually in tune with the effervescences of the inner world.

Or not to all that. ::) :P

I only have 5 piano students, therefore, I'm doing a lot of watercolor paintings for
the next exhibition for April and May.  I'm doing fine other than the fact I have
been quite discouraged about students moving away or quitting...and so I'm making
a career choice of becoming a professional artist.  It won't happen over night and I have
some paintings ready to get framed which is costly to do.  But, I only do what I
can and embrace what life has to offer.   8)

Go, I applaud your attitude and I wish you very much success :).  Have you considered doing a kind of "formal" fundraiser for yourself?  You know, be two entitites  8) ;D (whoa, I got carried away with the "t"s there).  But, seriously, what I mean is ... what if you held a concert, either solo or you with as many students as you can, and it was for the purpose of raising money to have your art framed?  You can give your new art career a formal name and let people come to support that.

Me, I've been up since 1:30AM.  Not cool, actually.  I tried for 3 hours to go back to sleep but I've got a lot on my mind.  Finally, I got up and started practicing.  And, do you want to know what?  Just a few minutes ago, I heard the neighbor chickens wake up!!  It's still dark outside, but, hey, I've got some friends now :).  *waves to the chickens*
