Charming little waltz by Franz Schubert which he played on Paul Kupelwieser's wedding in 1826. The music was never written down by the composer, but passed on from generation to generation by ear. Finally in 1943, Mautner Markhof (born Kupelwieser) asked the composer Richard Strauss, a friend of the family, to transcribe it. The composer rose galantly to the task, adding a few refinements of his own, as Schubert connoiseurs are quick to point out.

Play (and sing) the melody alone for a while so that you have a very clear conception of how you want to shape it (phrasing, ...). Then add the bass and soprano accompaniment which should just follow the melody always in the background. I recorded this after a couple of days but would play it differently now with almost no rubato, very simple.

Thnks a lot,got it in the meantime (it is unbeliavable how persistant I am  when we come to scores!).
Have been listening several interpretations on youtube and like it very much.To read it is not an issue,actually easy but can see where the catch is!
Have smaller issues how to retain one tone while playing in up part to get main melody out but it will come.
