Zorro's music ?
on: July 07, 2004, 08:45:21 PM
Hello.

I don't know if you guys have seen "The Mask of Zorro". The theme song ("I want to spend my lifetime loving you", sung by Tina Arena and Marc Anthony) sounded strangely familiar to me.

And then I heard the melody on NPR station, but in a piece for piano and orchestra. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to hear the piece's name or the composer.

I know James Horner composed the music for the movie, but it's quite possible that he took the melody from a classical piece and rearranged it. The piece sounds very Spanish and romantic in style, but I haven't been able to find it (I've looked through Albeniz, Turina, Granados...).

Does anybody have an idea ? Thanks.

As far as I know, the piece is completely original.

There is no mention of anything on the sheetmusic

Great finger stretching piece
