Oh my goodness....YES, I do remember "Dozen a Day"......I had the Red cover with the stick people on it!!!!!! LOL!!! I can't believe you remember that!
I had David Carr and Glover books. What did you use?
I had a book of Clementi Sonata's and Hanon technique, scales and excerces as well. Come to think of it, I had about 5-7 books with assignments a week!
I can't remember the name of all my beginning pieces..I think one of my first solo's was "Captain Cotton"!!!
There was also this one, I don't know the name, but I bet if you played it you would know it immediately. I think every little kid studying piano knew it...
it started on the A below middle C and went...
A, Bb, C, D, C, A&F(togeth), then C&G (togeth), then E&G
(togeth)....I'm pretty sure that was it...the LH was going F then C, F then C..repeatedly starting at 2 F's below middle C.....try it. I'm sure you've played it!!!
