You're right. that was first-class playing on a junky piano. Here, again, though we see how the instrument, itself, is secondary when you've got an artist playing on it. Once you get used to the sound, it really doesn't make any difference, does it? I wonder if that little crowd realized how lucky they were to hear you play these little gems. How did it feel to play on a dinky piano? So many times you hear pianists trying to get more out of the instrument then it can offer. You made friends with it and it obeyed your every whim!
