I love Casio PX100. If you are new, there is no reason to spend thousands of dollar for a piano. Casio PX100 is more than enough for a beginner or even a budget concious piano player.

You will not sound better with an expensive piano. Latter, when you can play well, you just jump directly to a Steinway. For now, it is better to save the monies.....

There are people who will tell you that the PX100 is the best thing since sliced bread, and there will be others that will tell you Casio should stick to making calculators. Buying pianos is a very subjective thing, the only way to tell which piano is "right" for you is to visit local stores and play every piano you can.

Hello,

I started with a PX500 and although it was good, it did have some very annoying clicks on some keys. (I don't know if the all the Privia range uses the same keyboard) The PX500 had key lighting which I thought would help as a beginner but I only used it once to learn chopsticks (everyone in the world can play 'chopsticks' - except me).

I found there was a BIG difference between playing/practicing on the PX500 and then playing the same piece on my piano teachers Acoustic upright. The PX500 *HAD* to go. I now have a Yamaha P90 and the key action feels MUCH better. I enjoy playing it and there are NO annoying key clicks.
