How has your study of music (or whichever way music is involved in your life) added to your overall education?

when playing music,  you are reading notes and playing the notes at the same time.  Depending on the instrument you use, you will use your hands, mouth, feet, and breathing.  Reading notes helps the brain visualize images and its ability to read just like reading books help children learn how to read. Also, you count beats in music which will help you get better at math.  Writing and composing music helps with your creativity.  Writing lyrics helps with your wrting ability.   Playing piano with 2 hands requires really good coordination.  Ear training helps your listening skills.  You need a good ear to play by ear. People who play music study music and the habit of studying, practicing, and having dicipline will help you make awesome grades in school.  When playing in school bands, you will need good social skills and you learn by making friends with different types of people.  People who love music will make friends with other people who like the same music.
