Challenge for Countrymath
on: May 31, 2011, 02:25:08 PM
Hey, Countrymath, I hope it's okay to do this, but I'm curious to see what happens.  Do you think you could learn to play this for me?  I would really love to hear the way you play it.

If you need the score, it's called Last Date and it's by Floyd Cramer, but I wouldn't recommend playing strictly by the score, at least not the one I had, because it's just the melody and it sucks.

Sorry! I just saw this now.

I'll learn it, for sure!

I have some Floyd Cramer records here. I also like him very much.

Awesome!!!  I really need to hear somebody play it.  It's my favorite song in the world.  I'll post my version of it if I can get somebody to record me.  I don't have a good recorder.

Neither me.

I record everything using MIDI.

I think that would be kind of visual for me.  I have no idea how to use it.  Oh, and just a heads up, if you have a score for Last Date, it has the melody on top and the harmony on the bottom of the right hand.  This is not the way Floyd played it.  He had the harmony above the melody, which is a trademark of country and bluegrass harmony.
