My father (who studied meteorology I think) says it is not exactly true, so I agree with him. :)

What is the favourite garb on images showed on the site I linked below?

In case you were interested, the language on the site is nineteenth century Polish.  ;D

seems a little paradoxical..  if I would never admit to liking it then whatever i answer here is clearly not something that I would never admit to..

A: Atonal music, serialism, so called 'plinkers' here, love it!  Used to be real big on it and studied it a lot when I was in high school, but it all still sticks with me.  It just stirs things up too much when I talk about it so I rarely bring it up.

Also, one or two Barry Manilow songs...or three.  Four max, final answer! I'm very embarassed to say this, I'm not kidding!  :-[

Q: What would the world be like if the piano was never invented?

I'd hate to think about it...If the piano was never invented, Classical music would be left with a huge hole and possibly the violin would be a dominant instrument in some point in history. And there would be no PIANOSTREET! Possibly it would instead be called Stringstreet or violinstreet or Viostreet. And no Chopin, Thal, Liszt, Rachmaninoff. And there would be no Hanon-Czerny war which waged on for hundreds of posts and claimed many threads.

Have you played John Cage's 4'33?

I have lots of strange dream... This is one of them:
I was walking around my backyard and saw a tree (that isn't there in real life, but in the dream it was normal). Under that tree it was a human skull. I became curious and went to it and at the moment I touched it I heard a voice (almost like god in movies... you know a "voice from over there") that said "DON'T TOUCH MY WIFE!" and then a skeleton with a coat came around the corner. He started to hunt me and I ran into our poolroom. I jumped into the water and he came after me... Then I waked up :P

I love having a pond with an island in the middle and around it, lots of weeping trees, like a Japanese garden. Maybe a pagoda somewhere on the island.  Very tranquil.

Transcription of Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on Greensleeves. :)

Do you enjoy any atonal pieces? (As a matter of fact I do, but I really like avant-garde. :) Messiaen's Oiseaux Tristes is a nice atonal piece, enjoyable because of the orchestral colour mainly. )

A: broken hearts?

Q: a machine is invented that will will program you brain so you can play any single piano work (of any length, i.e. entire concerto, etc), to  legendary status/acclaim. you'll be famous for it, the side effect is you will lose the ability to speak you first/native language forever. you retain the ability to learn new languages. Do you try it? What piano piece do you decide to trade for? what language do you decide to learn now that you can't communicate with anyone you know until they learn new said language?

That's a good question actually, I think it's true. I, for instance, set ridiculously high standards for myself. One time, while studying an etude, I went on practicing 14 hours straight the same piece of music until my fingers turned violet (I generally studied every day until I couldn't stand the pain anymore back then).  But it's just me, I think I'm on the other side right now (I haven't played the piano at all since September).

Q: What do you think of the masterful, insightful and very touching recordings of slow concert pianist?
Currently learning:

Chopin - 24 etudes op 10 & op 25
