What model of Bechstein is this?

I wonder if it was specially prepped in any way? Have they just got that one mic over the piano I wonder?

Looks like a B model. Do you know the year of the recording?
They might have had just that mic, not very advanced recordings in those days.

Do you know the year of the recording?

It was most likely recorded after 1954. Perhaps try to do a google search, type in key words to see if it yields some result.

Eddie Calhoun is on bass, and according to wikipedia he joined Garner in 1955 and played through to 1966.

Looks like a B model.
Good to know. It sounds nice and crisp, without being razor sharp like a Steinway.
I have not had the pleasure to play a nicely prepared older Bechstein, so it is nice to know what they can do.
