Intersting websites/books/things to do.
on: January 10, 2012, 12:50:38 PM
I stay at a computer with full access to internet (i cant watch videos, tough), doing nothing all day long and I want to find some websites or some other things to do here. It cant be anything noisy, so I was thinking on reading a book or visiting some cool websites, music-related or not.

Any tips?

https://teoria.com/ - music theory games/training tools
https://musescore.org/ - free score writing software, if you like composing (and can do it in your head)..

When you absolutely, postively, have nothing to do for several hours, there's nothing like
TVTROPES.  https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage.  But be warned, it has been known to eat people's brains.

Interesting websites without video/noise? That's tough. An online game would have been ideal. If I had fast internet access, I'd download and play Uncharted Waters Online. It's an exploration game set in the Renaissance. Or play Cashflow. No download required, but it takes hours to finish. You can learn how to make money.

So instead, consider getting more serious. There are lots to learn online, for free. Some universities have open courses for download:

Or maybe join another forum?  ;)

If you are above the age of 30, then this site will be horribly repulsive to you. If it's not, maybe it's time to grow up, haha.

Otherwise, it's a site with hilarious content.
