And we all hope that everything will go well. Let's not have the tournament spoiled by questionable calls or other ugliness.

In the US we're barred from betting sites so does anyone know the latest line?

Finally, the Euro is here... in two weeks our football season ends, I need something more to watch.

By the way, which team are you rooting for?

Go Serbia!!!!  ;D

What happened today in "group of death".

The Netherlands must have theirs back to the wall considering that they surprisingly lost with very well organised Denmark.

And Germany, as always, won (with Portugal).

As Gary Lineker said: "Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, the Germans always win".

I almost fell asleep. 180 minutes and only two goals. Imagine the value of all those stars in group B. Did you see the Madrid coach in the stands watching over his most valuable player?

After seeing these games I wonder if it is all about staying healthy so the players can go back to their big paying jobs in the fall.

I subscribe every word...but still I hope in the 'surprise' team of virtual unknown players that give a  lesson to this bunch of spoiled celebrities....

Sorry, I don't agree. I saw in these matches will to fight; the players care about good appearrance, because for many of them it is a chance for better contract, but it is not the only reason.

Some of them don't care about money (because they already have a lot :)); they just desire to win prestigious tournament to become immortal.

End of the first half. Now I see a little more passion. Iker Casillas earned his pay check, especially with that last save.  I haven't seen these players for 6 months and they look a lot older/tired. With all those good tries we should have seen a goal from either side.

I agree but I had an impression that Spaniards didn't have proper ball feel.

What is associated with spanish team: short passing and movement, working the ball through various channels; it went wrong. I heard they complained that grass was too dry.

Amazing trick by Balotelli from yesterday's match :):

I knew Italy wasn't as bad as you thought. The fact that Spain put something together without Ronaldo and with Torres on the bench was a big surprise.

The problem for Italy is that the score 2:2 in the match Spain-Croatia makes that two teams play in quarterfinals. It is funny, because they were in the same situation in EURO 2004 (and they dropped out, because the match Sweden-Denmark ended with a score 2:2).

I'm sure you will be watching today. I have a split screen possibility which I tried out yesterday. Maybe somebody can watch two games at the same time but it's not for me. Which will Italy play, England, France or the Ukraine? All will be clear in a few hours...

Nationalism in Football is fine I reckon -if Wales had a decent team I would be flying the flag -Hope Italy go on to the final now and beat Spain or Portugal -though there is much to admire about the Portugal side -Ronaldo is some player -Nani has his moments.
