Beethoven Pathetique 1st Movement

Whew, this was the final time I had to perform it (I did it twice). It is so mentally tiring ... Was wondering for any feedback, as I'm probably going to play it again sometime. I'm learning the second movement right now.

My own thoughts:
1. a little mushy in the fast parts, fingers got stuck a bit.
2. i move my body a lot xD

Very very good, and beautifully played. ;D YOu have a very nice touch too. You are right, it was a bit mushy during the beginning, but then improved fantastically after that. :)
And don't worry about moving your body around while playing, I do it all the time, and you can't put emotion into music by sitting stock still on the stool. ;)
I really enjoyed listening to this piece, it's very beautifully played! :D

I thought you played the slow introduction with absolutely the right spirit -some would say it was over romanticised -but I got the feeling that I was about to fall into a very deep and dark abyss -exactly Beethoven's intention -those falling notes at the end are answered when the tempo quickens -and the rising notes need to sound as if they are answering it -you need to get this a bit crisper and give more of a sense of arriving when you get to the climax of each rising motif - Beethoven is really discussing the heroism and defiance of the Human Spirit here, in the face of terrible odds -and I think you could communicate this a bit better -the runs really need to sound as  if they are flying in the face of something -or are lightning bolts of fate -take bars 177-184 -again we hear this terrifying run which plummets to the depths -once again we are returned to the opening theme -again the rising answer to the fall -but Beethoven doesn't ask for volume -but the all imoprtant note is C -it is the key note and the axis of this drama -you need to be very clear that you are trying to arrive there -it represents balance -it is soon gone of course -but if you understand this -you will play the movement with far more assurance.   If you start somthing well -it sets up everything else -you definitely have wonderful fingers -and I largely enjoyed your performance -

If you ever find anyone who really inspires you regarding the beginning few bars of this piece let me know ! Even when I did it myself many years ago now I did not care for the beginning but loved the rest..  You did a really nice job on this !

Depressing the pedal on an out of tune acoustic piano and playing does not result in tonal color control or add interest, it's called obnoxious.
