Favorite piano concertos

Rach 3!!!!!

Carl Vine has really been stepping his game up recently!  Too bad his second piano concerto hasn't been recorded and released yet...  Will he surpass Rachmaninoff and Scriabin?  Stay tuned to find out!

Despite not being a fan of Mozart, I really like his 20th piano concerto.

Prokofiev 2 and 3.  Has the third one been used in Indiana Jones?  I swear the first and second movement of the third has been in it!

Oh and let's not forget the other Rach concertos!  Except for his theme by Paganini...

Mozart 23

Liszt 2

Prokofiev 3 is great as well.

The first time I listened to the Liszt 2 I thought it sounded like endless arpeggios, so I would rather choose the Liszt 1.

Another of my favourite piano concerto would be Busoni's op.39

My man...   ;D

If I ever debuted with the Rach 3, I could die the day after and be completely okay with it.

I pretty much only listen to the 1st Chopin concerto and the Alkan concerto for solo piano.

Concertos are generally REALLY LONG, so they lose my attention after a while, making it impossible to actively listen.

It'd be pretty awesome! I hope to play it someday, but I'd like to do it justice. Rach 3 hits me hard emotionally...I think it's the most beautiful thing in the world. I can safely say performing it would be one of the best parts of my life, so I don't wanna do it too soon ;)

If Liszt had ever encountered Chinese music and has ever intended to compose in the Chinese pentatonic scale, I would have believed Liszt had actually composed the Yellow River Concerto if someone were to lie about it.
