Linux compatible site to buy sheet music
on: January 14, 2013, 06:09:15 PM
When I search on Google for specific pieces of sheet music a lot of sites come up which require Scorch, which appears to be for Windows or Mac.
When I signed up for the forum here, I was offered a free piece, and gratefully it doesn't care which operating system I'm using: it was in pdf format so no problem viewing and printing.
Recently I felt a strong urge to learn "Where Everybody Knows your Name (Cheers Theme)" and the Theme from Superman. I couldn't find any sites where I was confident that if I bought it, I'd be able to view and print it. I decided to instead buy a couple books on Ebay with the songs in them. Seems like it might be more economical in the long-run anyway. But for future reference, and to satisfy any future sudden cravings, I'd like to know of at least one site, besides pianostreet.com, which is "Linux-friendly."
