Can you identify this piece?
on: January 18, 2013, 01:14:22 PM
I randomly came across this piece on Spotify a while ago, and I immediately wanted to find the sheet music for it and play it. But the problem is that I cannot find the actual title of the piece. It is a track called "Bach: Love Song" on the album "Piano Love Songs: Classic Easy Listening Instrumental Piano Music". At first I thought it was indeed a piece by Bach, but I am starting to think it may just be a piece written in "Bach style" (?)
Here is the Spotify link:
https://open.spotify.com/track/5euTAHRimbfXX0C3yy3FuF
I haven't been able to find it on youtube, so I'm sorry I cannot provide a youtube link.
If anyone is able to identify the piece, so that I can obtain the sheet music for it, it is much appreciated!

Soundhound says it is "Improvisation On Invention No. 4".
Google that and it leads here, among other links:
https://www.amazon.com/Improvisation-On-Invention-No-4/dp/B00499I7NU
But I have my doubts about getting the score for this piece.
Good luck!

I am happy to say that I dug some further into this and suddenly I came across the piece, with the correct title! It is indeed a Bach piece, and it is called "Invention No. 4 in D minor, BWV 775". Turns out that the original is a bit different from the arrangement I found (Which is made by Michael Silverman). The original arrangement can be downloaded for free, but if you want the sheet music for the Silverman arrangement it can be bought here:
