Help to chose repertoire

I wrote this thread because i need help to chose and prelude and fugue by bach and etude by chopin.
What is your suggestion?

Well we can't really give you much advice if we don't know what you have played before.

I recently have played Sonata k333 by Mozart and the D Major Prelude and Fugue of WTC1.

C major or C minor Prelude from Book 1. Or A major.  Chopin: perhaps start with Op. 25 No. 2.

After that, find a good teacher who can pick your rep for you.

I just did WTC 1 Prelude n Fugue in C Sharp Minor n Chopin Op. 10 no. 8 for my semester 1 exam.

For Prelude and fugue...

C sharp major, B flat major, A flat major, n G major from book 1 are nice, or D major and A flat major from book 2.

For Chopin I agree with le_poete_mourant

Op. 25 no. 2 is a good starter...or maybe you could do Op. 10 no 5, Op. 10 no. 9, butterfly....
Perhaps Op. 25 no 1 if you have a wide handspan - it's so beautiful !

I firmly believe that a young pianist is either at the level where their teacher must choose their repertoire for them, or they are at the level where they must choose all of their repertoire on their own.

I'm not sure about the level at which one must ask an internet forum for 'advice' regarding what to choose....

Choose the piece you want to play the most. How on earth could a bunch of strangers on the internet know which piece speaks to you most urgently?

I just did the Book 2 A major p&f for my grade 8 and I think it's a very nice one

P&F in d minor (Book 1, no. 6)
Chopin: it really depends on what your strengths are. Thirds, octaves, LH work, polyrhythm?
