You will all think I'm a noob, but hands down my all time favourite Anime is Digimon Tamers, closely followed by Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Kanon.

There's no shame in liking Digimon, but Kanon? o-O Surely there's much better anime in the "made from a dating game" genre.

I personally love Pokemon and older mainstream shows like Tenchi, Ranma, Eva, etc. I don't really care for newer mainstream shows like Naruto and FMA.

Unfortunately, the Anime shows on TV and more popular ones (Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist) start to draw alot of attention and gain the typical unappreciation, which I am guilty of regarding Naruto. It's mass fan hoard has put me off watching it... quite the Irony that really.

I also can easily settle down with the Classic Pokemon, and given I know the storyline, Advanced battle would also be comprehendable and watchable.

And I just noticed after reading the last line in your post I mentioned the same Anime... not just me then *sighs*

Concurred on the Tenchi btw, I would love to watch them again... the first and third series (In Tokyo?) particularly appealed the me, Tenchi Universe or whatever was just... a bit bland, but maybe I was too young to bother following it with my tastes.

And Kanon is great! It's incredibly emotional, one of the prime Anime Series aspects I look for now is Character Development and Depth, I like to become involved, Kanon hits the nail on the head with that, or it could be just the cute girls in it ;)

im not a serious fan, but i find them rather entertaining. i cant remember all of them, most of the time just watching at a friends' house. i do remember seeing one called AKIRA, which i think is very cleverly made.

Does someone know what happened to Spatula, the starter of this thread? He appears as a Guest on it.

BTW I'm a huge fan of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
