Third Performance Piece? for judging in the spring.
on: December 14, 2014, 09:11:36 PM
These are the pieces I am playing this March for testing and am desperate for a third piece:

Bach Prelude and Fugue No.5 WTC1
     Beethoven Sonata Op.2 No.3

The third piece can be any romantic or contemporary piece, but preferably contemporary.
Some pieces I that were recommended to me were:

A selection from Prokofiev vision fugitive
Schumann scenes from childhood or albumblatter
     Barton microkosmos vol. 5&6
     Coplands's cat and mouse
     Debussy's preludes or suite bergamasque
Repertoire

Beethoven Sonata Op.2 No.3
Bach Prelude and Fugue No.5 WTC 1
Prokofiev Vision Fugitives No.7
Rachmaninoff Prelude Op.23 No.5

this is so great! respected composer, but late works almost never get much  play. score is in  print , look for it on Sikorski catalog. fyi https://www.crescendo-music.com/en/article/85552/piano/kabalevsky-dimitri_recitative-&-rondo-op.84.html

Everyone clear the room!  ;)  :-X

I heard Pizarro not long ago, had forgotten about his palms.  I was impressed.
He was not of an age, but for all time.
