Help With These Chords!
on: January 23, 2015, 11:43:25 PM
Hello,
I am unsure if what i am asking belongs on these forums so i am sorry if it is out of place but help from someone with a good ear for chords would be hugely appreciated.

It's bit hard to tell, heavy processing on this one, but, starting with C in the bass, the changes sound like C9sus, Gmi7b9, and Abma9. They vary somewhat. The voicings change subtly, sometimes the C9sus is more like Cmi9, and sometimes the extensions aren't all there or they are very soft, but this should get you in the general ballpark.
In case you don't know the lingo:
C9sus = C/F/G/Bb/D
Gmi7b9 = G/Bb/D/F/Ab
Abma9 = Ab/C/Eb/G/Bb

Dan,
As I said, the changes vary subtly. The roots stay the same, but the extensions are all over the place, especially on the C-chords, so you will have to play around with it.
However, the C-chords on the first chorus, which repeat the C-G-Ab pattern four times are as follows (as far as I can make out anyway):
1st C chord is Csus (add13) = C/F/G/A
2nd C chord is C9sus = C/F/G/Bb/D
3rd C chord is Csus (add9) = C/F/G/D
4th C chord is Cmi11 = C/Eb/G/Bb/D/F
(see attachment)
Have fun with your project!
