Goes to show how rarely I modify posts. I noticed a typo, tried to correct it just now and found I couldn't. So I looked at the PF website board and found this thread. I do not think members in a fit of temper, and there have been at least two other instances I can recall, aside from the huge recent one, should be allowed to render interesting discussions a mass of non sequiturs and nonsense in order to vent their spleen on everyone.

Therefore I agree with the present restriction and I shall just have to be careful what I write, which caution might be a very good thing. Should I really wish to alter something I can always contact nilsjohan directly, but as I have never substantially changed a post in over thirteen years, I doubt it will ever happen.
