Pretty cool rep, I'm glad other people agree that the impromptu op. 36 is under-played.
BUT HOW CAN YOU LIKE THE 3RD SCHERZO MORE THAN THE 4TH?!
Also, I think this rep is presenting too much of "young Chopin" and not enough of "mature and philosophical Chopin" (except for the mazurkas and the fantasie there isn't really anything from his really mature phase).
I liked it when pianists took on his more complicated pieces - 4th ballade and scherzo, polonaise fantaisie, 3rd sonata, baracrolle... I think these pieces really represent the golden age of his life (it's too bad he died so young, who knows what else he could have written...)
Now I'm curious, are you actually planning on entering the competition, or are you just studying competition repertoire for self motivation? If you are planning on entering, I'm really impressed
