Recordings/videos of Poisot's Etudes?
on: February 21, 2017, 11:45:46 PM
Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone is aware of any recordings or videos play of Charles Poisot's Etudes de Mecanisme. I bought the book after hearing about Poisot etudes being used by another teacher. I'm not a huge fan of etudes in general but some can be musically interesting or fun. Anyways the point:

People have recorded or made videos of all kinds of etudes regardless of whether you consider them to be musically interesting but I find nothing on youtube or the web generally regarding Poisot aside from the sheet music. Having had a look through and seeing the uncomfortable hand positions throughout it seems like many are possibly unplayable or dangerous. On the flip side I might be misunderstanding the technique required which is why I was curious to see if there were recordings or videos out there of them being played.

So yeah... are there?
