So, I'm really busy in music right now. But after May, I'm going to have next to nothing left to work on, as nearly all my pieces are going to be performed at different places within a couple weeks of each other, for festivals and such.
After that, my summer is going to be almost completely open. I have wanted to learn Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 for a long time, but obviously it's been beyond my technical ability.
I've looked over the piece, even played some of it, but never seriously gone in and done the grunt work, and now I'm trying to decide if I should. My strengths are in Chopin and Rachmaninoff, my weakness is Beethoven (even though I absolutely love all his music!!!). See below for my current repertoire, most of which will be done very soon, excepting the Beethoven Op. 26.
I've identified many of the chief technical problems and will have plenty of time to attack them over the summer, barring any nasty, unpleasant surprises that tend to come along every so often ...
