Variations on Chopins Etude in E major No. 10/3?

Hi @ all,

some years ago I heard Piano Variations on Chopins E-major-Etude, but I don't know the composer and the specification (2 or 4 hands, 2 pianos).

Does someone of you has an idea which composer wrote Variations on this known theme? I am sure that some composers was inspired from it :-)

Don't know if it's the same guy, but I know Groot wrote a Fantasy on Chopin's Etudes (I believe it is a combination of the 25/9 and 10/5).  My recording is a duet played by Cor de Groot and Gerard van Blerk.

Maybe it was the Chopin/Godowsky Etude Op. 10 No. 3.  Played with one hand I think  (left hand).
