Which piano caster cup for Boston 156?
on: May 14, 2021, 08:41:52 PM
Dear all,

hope you can help me out here. I just bought a used Boston 156 grand piano. And before it is delivered I need piano caster cups to protect my hardwood floor. However - I have no idea about which size is correct! Does anybody know why size of cups you need for this piano?
And do you have a tip for which ones to buy?

Thank you all so much!

Congratulations on your new-to-you piano.

Obtain the measurement of the casters, and that will give you an idea of which caster cups are appropriate.  Did you buy from a dealer?  They should be able to help you with this.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

I second talking to a dealer, they should be able to help you. But if you just measure how much space the wheels need you should be able to figure out which cups fit. I use something similar to these on my kawai grand and it works well https://www.thomann.de/gb/piattino_schallschutzuntersetzer.htm?ref=intl&shp=eyJjb3VudHJ5IjoiZ2IiLCJjdXJyZW5jeSI6NCwibGFuZ3VhZ2UiOiJlbiJ9&glp=1
