Union Gottschalk

Hello, I have a question for those who have played Gottschalk's Union.

I'm touching up Chopin's Ballade 1. Next week, I want to start learning Gottschalk's Union Paraphrase de Concert.  I am a new college student without funds for a teacher anymore, and so I am looking to the internet for help.

What tips do you have to prepare and practice this piece?

If you cannot pay for a professional teacher , and you are up to snuff enough to play the Chopin we'll, I would schedule an appointment with the music dept at the school and see if there is any small scholarships funds available (with audition of course) for you to take lessons as a no. Major , you'd be surprised how willing some department teachers are, you might also see if that isn't an option, ask if there are any graduate pedagogy students that might help you with private studio reduced pricing or even top undergrad junior or senior level students doing their teaching practicums that might need a student like you for their coursework and that may be away to get some needed help at little or no cost in addition to or liu of any merit help you might win

I spent much of the reply on that side of the coun beciase it's that Important
Beyond that , how's your Liszt ? Gottschalk writing at times can have some demands that nod to some of the virtuosic hijinks of Franz , I'd try doing some reading of various Liszt works in a regular basis as well as other Gottschalk works

Make sure your arpeggios patters are quick and clean you'll need to get very adept at light unlabored fluroshes that pop
