Hello,
I just picked up this piece as something I figure I can manage now and get better at over time (I'm a very slow adult learner). I have not yet had a lesson on it. It all looked manageable to me -- but somehow I overlooked the last notes in measure 16. There, the right hand is supposed to span the 10th from G (above middle C) to B flat. My hand absolutely cannot do that (an octave is my comfortable limit). I have listened to YouTube videos of the piece, and I think I can discern that some players roll the two notes, some actually play them together, and some maybe play only the B flat, skipping the G entirely.
My question for the group is what you would recommend for a not-advanced player trying to learn this piece. Get both the G and the B flat with a roll, or skip the G? Any other thoughts (given the notes that the left hand is playing there, I don't think I can move the G down to that hand)?
Thanks,
Erika
