What Pieces are Similar in Difficulty to Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement?

I am mostly self-taught. I recently finished learning the Moonlight sonata 3rd movement, it took me a few weeks to be able to play it by memory without much difficulty. I can't seem to find pieces that are much more difficult, without going so far more difficult that it becomes completely unplayable for my skill level. I want to try Chopin's 3rd Ballade, which is allegedly the least difficult of the four, not sure if I'm prepared for such a piece though. Is Chopin's 3rd Ballade playable for me, and what other pieces exist that are slightly more difficult than Moonlight sonata 3rd movement?

It's very hard to give such a narrow estimation of difficulty because it's so subjective. There should be a number of other Beethoven sonatas you can play if you can handle the 3rd movement of the Moonlight comfortably. The 3rd ballade has some techniques that are different from Moonlight that might be more difficult but I would not say it is a huge leap necessarily. Again depends on your strengths and weaknesses.

I would say the famous Fantasy Impromptu by Chopin would be comparable. I think Chopin decided not to publish it because he felt it was too similar to the 3rd movement of the Moonlight sonata if i remember right.
