The Recordings I present are part of my Project of digital interpretations in two different Settings, with digital reconstruction of
a) the Berlin "Teldex-Studio" as more dry studio acoustic (the first two recordings "studio")
b) the Berlin Philharmony (Large hall) as large modern Concert Hall.(recording 3+4 "bp" = Berlin Philharmony)

I found that many of the early Recording of Rachmaninov playing his own music are produced in studio without the option to add any kind of Concert hall Acoustic. Which made a very dry ambience. Nevertheless he was still able to get the romantic kind of "flow" which today seem so much depending on the reverb of a large concert hall.

As I had the chance to digitally reconstruct both, i tried both. The two "Alte Tanzweisen " "Liebesleid" and "Liebesfreud" which Rachmaninoff transcribed from F.Kreislers Violin-Pieces to very charming piano pieces are my first example of a project which will still take some time to be ready to publish I hope you like it and the experiment:
