Sorabji sonata no.1

I just found it on DASDC forum  OMG it is a SOO beautiful work. It is allmost not dissonant. Not more than any prokofiev. It sounds like scriabin. It is TRULLY beautiful. If anybody want me to send it to him, I really would do. I'm sure it would change your view of him. Some parts feel a bit jazzy too. Really it trully is really good. I know Sorabji has allready been discussed a lot, but not THIS awesome piece. I have it played by "tha DOC"(in DASDC language ) It's marc-andré hamelin. And its lenght is quite acceptable, it's 22 minutes. Shorter than liszt sonata, and some beethoven sonatas. So I don't think lenght is really a reason to not like it with this one. And it sounds amazing.

First of all, Thierry, I would like to apologize for how I insulted you the other day. Everything went wrong that day, and I got angered very easily. I can't say I truly believe your claims, but I will not say that what you say is impossible. I'm just sick of the constant bragging on this forum, most of which is probably not even true.

Anyway, I'm glad you have found interest in this piece. It is, indeed, a wonderful piece. Sadly, Busoni could not appreciate it, dismissing it as "ugly music" after Sorabji had personally played it for him. However, it is nice to know that people are able to appreciate it nowadays, as it is a beautiful work. I prefer the 2nd Sonata, however, though it is quite a bit more dissonant.

Sorabji is TONAL!!!! That's what makes his music so good  For an ATONAL sheet composer, look at Xenakis  It sounds like... a big mess  And has NOTHING to do with Sorabji.
