I cant stop playing this piece!!

Any1 ever find a piece which is so beautiful and enjoyabe to play u sit down to practice it a couple of times but end up playing for an hour+?
I've just found this beauty - its the Ravel Sonatine.
The second "movement" is so enchanting, technically relatively easy but requires a delicate and precise touch.

That happened to me with Jeux d'eau, I got through the first 3 pages, then it all sort of fell apart, never again will I touch that piece, well in a while that is...

That happens to me all the time, lately with Chopin's g minor ballade - just can't stop working on it. Next thing I know it's been 3 hours! Same thing happened with Beethoven's Appassionata, especially the last movement. Really addicting stuff.
It's fun, isn't it?

The appasionata is too difficult to get addicted to lol i'd have to play it soo slowly when starting out.

I love Ravel's Sonatine.
I have a friend who plays it beautifully... she's won a good 3 compititions with it.

Do you have a recording of the sonatine?
Haven't heard it yet
And i luv Ravel's music! Especially Jeux d'Eau
I think that's one of the good things about music.. We're able to enjoy so much of the music we can't even stop
I often have that with Scriabin's music.. When I'm practicing I just don't wanna stop, it's too much fun
Lol..
