godowsky die forelle (the trout)
on: June 08, 2005, 05:41:48 AM
Does anybody have the Godowsky transcription of Die Forelle (The Trout) originally by Schubert?  I have the Liszt version already and have heard that Godowsky wrote one but I am really not in the mood to spend 50 dollars to see it.  If anybody has the sheet music and is willing to email it to me I would greatly appreciate it.

hey pianiststrongbad, (what does ur name mean?) Did you know that Liszt made at least 2 versions of the trout, I'm playing the 2 different versions and they are, well, very different :) All the other versions are not in existence anymore :( he was a progressive transcription artist :)
