...New To The Board...
on: June 09, 2005, 08:39:17 PM
:) Hey, Sup'. :)

I'm a classical pianist. Came here hoping to meet some other musicians. Looks like the best of the boards I browsed. I hope it is.  I guess I should tell a little bit about myself...

- Started playing classical piano at eight.
- My Major in College'll = Piano (obviously).
- My Piano: Yamaha T121.
- I've lived everywhere...lol.

Fav. Composer: Frédéric Chopin.
Fav. Peice: Fantasie Impromptu.

Currently Playing Peices:
'Revolutionary Etude' - Frédéric Chopin.
'Moonlight Sonata' (3rd Movement) - Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Past Peices: (The Last Few Played)
'Funeral March' (Sonata in B Flat Minor) - Frédéric Chopin.
'Waltz in C# Minor' - Frédéric Chopin.
'Moonlight Sonata' (1st Movement) - Ludwig Van Beethoven.
'The Maidens Prayer' - T. Badarzewska.
'Alpenabendröte' - T. Oesten.

Currently Reading:
- Structural Functions in Music by Wallace Berry.
- Temperament by Stuart Isacoff (for fun).

That should tell a little bit about me. ;) I'm here (btw) to hopefully learn something...

i too am new to the board.. i  played for 3 years as a child ages 6-9, and took a 20+year break.  i have been playing again and loving it for a year..looking to talk or chat with other adults that have returned after a long break, and to talk with those who have been playing for years and still LOVE it....

my favorite composer is  Chopin....the nocturnes are the only  things of Chopin I have attempted...i also like Beethoven, Bach, and Clementi, and of course Mozart.
