The Prodigy Who Saw Into the Future – Lili Boulanger’s Piano Music

A teenage girl with forward-looking ideas, Lili Boulanger had enough determination to successfully navigate the competitive, patriarchal, and conservative music scene of Paris. Despite a constant fight against illness, she achieved great mastery as a composer, and left behind a significant catalog of works characterized by intense emotional depth, in a sophisticated, post-Romantic, Impressionist style. Now, all her scores for solo piano are available to Piano Street’s members. Read more

respect.  i hope the war is ended soon by an election that is stable.  will pray for you daily.  am sure your family will, too.  taking some first-aid classes would be my mode on the weekend.  you never know in what capacity you might be needed.  and, survival skills.  it's a tragedy the war had to happen in the first place - but, God often has ways of equalizing power and saddam's definately came down.  people think very differently over there about democracy, though.  i don't think they'll ever fully understand it (except for some of the more wealthy) because they have already been indoctrinated in their own beliefs.  having personal integrity must be the key, and praying that they will have the same for you (getting tired of war as they must be).  maybe learning a little arabic?
