I love this piece a lot and I played it many times myself too. Though, it isn't difficult to play at all; people just love this piece and so do I.

About your recording:

The sound and the recording itself is good, but to be honest with you, I don't like the way you play this piece. The intro is good, nothing wrong with that, it's the way how it should be played in my opinion. But after the intro you're getting in some kinda rush or something!? For me, this takes away all the emotion, wich makes this piece so beautiful. Then, after "the rush" you pick up the speed again, how it's supposed to be played, in my eyes. Then the "ending" part follows (with a little, but really noticeable wrong note... Hehe  ;) ).

Okay, I'm at 1:20 of the recording now. Now we go further in the song. A little bit in a rush again, but it's less faster than the rush in the beginning of the song. After this part, I feel more emotion, though at the end of the whole piece you're in a little rush again.

This is how I look at your recording. Your playing is nice, nothing wrong with that. Your recording and sound quality is really nice too, also nothing wrong with that. I just gave you criticism about this piece, cause I don't like the way you play it. It's more an opinion than real criticism I guess.  :)

EDIT: Sorry, I guess I didn't really understand your post. I thought you re-played it. But if I'm right, you just just pitched the piano, from your old recording?..

I think you meant that, though, my opinion about the piece and the way you play it doesn't change.

hmm when the main melody comes in at about 22 seconds, it feels that it should be slower, and sounds like your rushing a bit in spots. Maybe its meant to be that fast, i havnt listening to this song in ages.

you're right it's supposed to be played more evenly but i just like this way hehe (i feel this melody encompass the whole game for wich it was made more than just the few moments at wich it appears) i don't think faster playing is less emotions it's just different emotions but i guess i'm not making that pass too well=( think it still needs more work then (& yes you got that right about the pitch althought i'd have to re learn it soon enuff anyway )

Don't take my criticism too serious/offending. ;)  Play pieces how you like to play them. I bet there are a lot of people who like the way you play it, no doubt about that! It's just me who doesn't like the way you play this piece. Your playing is good and I have to say; for me, you're the first person who plays To Zanarkand like this, so I guess it's kinda original the way you play it.

There are a lot of remixes of this piece, I especially like the Piano Collections version of it. In that version, there is a fast left hand part at the end, but that's playing fast in a different way, if you know what I mean (it doesn't really speed up the whole piece). Also, there are a lot of remixes of this piece wich I really dislike, but then again; it's just my own opinion about it.  :)
