Personal Composition: Etude No.2
on: February 27, 2006, 12:43:13 AM
  Lo everyone!

Aye, the second etude... I kinda like the musical ideas in this one.. but I know I have gone wrong... very wrong somehow about the... method of delivering them, maybe I just went overboard with unison? I would like to hear your opinions on it if one get's a chance ^_^

Thinking about it... maybe I just need to learn to venture out of key, my mind doesn't think out of key! There is barely any accidentals in my scores :(

Oh yeah, you think the time/length of the piece is an issue? Possibly lack of development? O_o

 Thanks again!

yes, there are good ideas in this work. but it needs more development... the opening measures are good ideas to get it from.

yes, u got it right.. i think you should explore some more of it. you have very good materials there.

but if it was a movement of a set of pieces (ala schumann), it might work already.
Well, keep going.<br />- Martha Argerich

Heh, okie kokie, basically revise it a helluva lot, and stay focused ^_^;; It's easy to wander off when you work so slowly on it O_o

Thanks ^_^ I consider my first Etude better, but even that lacks something :-\
Unfortunately I don't have the capacity to play Grade 5 and above (I would estimate), this is just Garritan Personal Orchestra playing, the Steinway Sound, with modified Ambience settings... else wise the piano sounds rather morbid!

Thanks for your comments folks ^_^ I will put it to good use!
