Beethoven: Sonata Moonlight, 3rd movement, Variation
on: October 05, 2006, 04:42:33 AM
I played the Moonlight Sonata somewhat differently while retaining the classical styles and the unique characters of Beethoven. The pdf file is a rendition copy of the original Beethoven composition that I arranged. Please listen to the audio and give some feedbacks.

The Presto 3rd movement is really my most favorite pick, the emotions and passions are impressive, except it's a tragedy ending: Beethoven lost his girlfriend eventually. I modified the theme storylines and melodies, so Beethoven would get his romances worked out that comes to a happy ending. I tried to imagine how would Beethoven live if he were raised a wealthy family in the modern world we are progressed on today.

Well, pretending what if Beethoven wasn't born in 1770 in Düren, Germany, but instead, born in 1988 in Oxfordshire, Great Britain. How many pieces of music could Beethoven have written if he got the computer, the internet and an 88 keys Fazioli Model 228 instead of an ancient piano that has 68 keys only (F1 to C7) and he had to write everything up by his sole hands. Beethoven's would have lived much longer with an excellent health condition if he could drive a car (to keep him warm from the frosty weather) and ride on a skateboard (to get his body fully exercised).

Why Fazioli Model 228? Here's the math equation:

(1988 - 1770) years + (88 - 68) keys / 2 hands = 218 years + 10 keys/hand = Fazioli 228

you're maxim in diguise.  yes.  wierd and genius go together.  if you were my brother - i'd strangle you after the first line.  it's too happy.  maybe i'd like to see beethoven happy and riding on a skateboard - but, wait - you're causing me a headache right now.   ps are you and henrah related.  how did you end up with a fazioli, too?

Hi tuckercao you know i've heard a number of your compositiona and i like them a lot even though they are obviously very influnced by Beethoven. Sadly when i heard this recording some time ago, i remember not liking it i did'nt comment, its intresting but the original is far better.

Hey zheer and pianistimo, actually I rearranged the Moonlight Sonata for teasing henrah and imitating his performing personality, not for serious compositions. The audio was recorded digitally on a Finale 2005 software, not on a real Fazioli 228 although the sound effects feel like henrah's piano interpretations. I went in to the sound font files and modified some of the echo reflective ambiences. The link below will direct you to a video henrah posted seven months ago.

You may or may not know the real meaning of "Svmib Yobgs Yvxlnvh Nb Yilgsvi".

A B C D  E F G H  I J  K L M
Z Y X W V U T S R Q P O N

When you reflect the alphabets from the top row to the buttom or buttom row to the top, "Svmib Yobgs Yvxlnvh Nb Yilgsvi" means "Henry Blyth Becomes My Brother".

For serious and professional compositions, I wrote a scale of chord library which you can find all the piano chords you need (still working to complete). The link below will direct you to the chord scale topic.

In conclusion, I tried to play Moonlight Sonata 3rd movement and henrah's Barnaby Serenade simotaneously, may not work the best, but at least functional.

Sorry to be an arsehole critic, but it sounds pretty disgusting.
