Wow, that's one of my top favorite Sonatas, and you play it incredibly well  :o :o :o

The only thing that I'm not 100 percent overwhelmed is the sound of the bass notes. They could sound much more powerful and penetrating. But that's possibly not your fault, but a problem of the instrument or the recording.

Besides from that: phanastic playing - highest admiration from me!
If it doesn't work - try something different!

Brilliant performance, well done! *thumbs up*

You need to learn and post the other movements now! :)

I'm really surprised that this, one of the most noteworthy performances currently in the audition room, hasn't garnered more comments. Everyone must be jealous of you, Kassaa. :P

Nice playing, Dealin...another performance that proves you were dealt a good hand.  ;D

You should play the Shroom's 3rd Sonata...it's totally out there (and you're ready for 'er).

wow.  this was worth the time it took to download.  i was going - 'if this isn't good - i'm out 10 minutes.'  wow.  that's really something!  i'd definately like to hear more, too.  the other movements - as mozartian said.  also, i'd like to hear you play the schumann concerto.  you have such a great way of bringing out the voices.  and give importance to what schumann wrote as important.  i don't like it when people play schumann and totally disregard what he wrote.  you definately seem to keep the flow and the 'feel' of schumann.

can i make one last comment.  that last note did wierd things.  was it the microphone?  it sounded like it did some  kind of 'warp.'  i don't think it was you.  maybe the mic was misplaced.  it didn't do justice to the very last note - but i really liked all the other places in the recording.  it seemed like when the volume went down (as it does when a note fades) - then suddenly the recording quality was not as good.

Lovely!!!  You play Schumann with wonderful expression.  I think the recording didn't do as much justice to your playing as it could have--but even so, it sounds very, very nice.

Very impressive. You create a strong sense of urgency and meaning, and pace it very well. One of the best interpretations I have heard. I get the impression you are hunted by something ghastly, barely managing to escape at times.

At a few places it seems just a little rushed, sacrificing articulation. I'm thinking of the return to speed after the slow theme i the exposition (and repetition), this is a bit abrupt, and also at the "noch schneller" where the harmonic progression becomes a bit difficult to hear.  But overall a splendid performance!

Thanks all, it was recorded in the Bachzaal, a concert hall in Amsterdam, it has the most beautiful and perfect Steinway grand ever ;D .

I will definately work on the things you said, troglodyte.
