Wow.  I am just astounded by your overwhelming stage presence as one of the best pianists in Quebec and the whole of Canada.  Your technical fireworks are a far cry from the standard, and your choice of repertoire is enormously varied.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but welcome, and feel free to keep posting.  Just think about what you write before you write it.  I think Hamelin has you beat in every department, along with hundreds of other Canadian pianists.

The moonlight sonata is one of the easiest piece in the repertoire, and you had to play it with sheet music. One of the best in the province of Quebec? OMG ... you're not even close to anything like a serious pianist. Sorry if I'm harsh but you just can't go out and tell you're good and then post ridiculous playing of one of the easiest pieces, with sheet music and errors included. Sorry I'm out of myself. What kind of tour will you be doing

What kind of award have you gotten? 13-21 ? What kind of competitions did you do? You're not even good enough to participate in the 14 years old group in CMC, and some people are doing international competitions at age 21! Who the hell do you think you are? Grow up and listen to somebody else play before saying you're one of the best  There are other pianists in Quebec, lots of worse than you, but any serious pianist of your age is better than you. Seriously, I could understand you think you're good for 13 years old ... but 13-21 ?!?!?!? You wouldn't even pass the first round of the CMC! I hope you know what the CMC is, and know what are the standards? It is the canadian music competition. If you want to say you're one of the best in Quebec, you should at least pass the second round. Now, if I compare your playing with those of the ones who pass at CMC, you're clearly not in the league. I'm not saying your talentless, you simply are at a very beginner level, and you clearly could play very well later, but you are light years away from being one of the best of the 13 years old in Quebec, and even further of 21 years old ...

yes i do know what CMC is, i have a competition from them in Quebec, and i went to the finals, alright, the works that i have posted are not some of my best, but there definitely not bad.

Wow-- so many negative comments! Hope you dont get discouraged by all these critical comments. Of course, it wont hurt to learn not to advertise yourself as the "best" pianist, because "best" is very subjective.

I listened to a few of the youtube postings, and they're very good! Keep up the good work.

I didn't mean to put you down or discourage you. On your videos you come off as a level-headed, articulate and sincere young man. But your post was so poorly written and self-aggrandizing, I swore it was someone trying to pull a fast one and see what kind of a rise he could get out of thierry13.

BTW, here is the winner of the the 2007 CMC in the 15-18 year category in which you included yourself

somehow, i feel sorry for ryan. he might have made one little "mistake" by bragging himself in this forum. but i am still thinking if it is really necessary that some of you have spoken with that humiliating tone.

i have not listened to his playing, and granted he may be far from what he claimed to be, but his succeeding posts somehow tell me that he is not as arrogant as his initial post has seemed.

nonetheless, ryan, you have set a fire on dried bush-you should be able to handle these people, and be more humble next time. learning your lesson the hard way, is, i guess, better than no lessons at all. tds

You are obviously new here! A lot of people take (perverse) pleasure in criticizing others even though they couldn't possibly play as well. Internet anonymity affords the ability to be an *** with immunity.  Anyway, I enjoyed your videos--just watch the hubris!

I'd say most members here can play better, and this kind of argument is plain stupid. Any great concert pianist can be critisized and this with justification by most serious pianists, tough none of them can play as well. This kind of argument is ridiculous.
