I was going through my usual bout of internet activity when I noticed a picture of a young Vladimir Ashkenazy. OMG I think he is kinda attractive - anyone agree? or had similar thoughts? Please share

She's not attractive and she can hardly be called a pianist. The only reason why people acknowledge her "musicianship" is because she is a public figure. She has about as much pianistic prowess as Richard Nixon did (who also was a pianist).

Yes... as well as teaching group lessons as well as my private students... I do work almost 30 hours a week and I'm trying to earn some money and establish my reputation in perth as a Piano teacher.

You do realise that the pieces are REALLY *** hard... and I've only been studying them for about 8 months now. And I'm hoping to perform them in September next year.

I don't know. There's something about her face that turns me off. Also, her voice. Still, she's a lot better looking than most pianists out there. Pianists really aren't an attractive bunch, come to think of it.

Except for the odd lesser-known pianist, pianists' looks don't really seem to match their musical talent. There are some pretty violinists though.

No, it's just that we're young men in the prime of our sexual lives and we just have our own tastes in women. We're really no different from most other men in the age range of 18-30. And besides, you have to admit, pianists on the whole really aren't the most attractive people, when you compare it to other people. There are some pretty cute musicians who play other instruments, you know.

I have to say, though, if I had to date a pianist, it would probably be Yuja Wang. She looks a lot better than she sounds, and I am usually not one for Asians. She's also almost exactly my age, too.

To me, attractive pianist aren't really a big deal. I already decided that if I want to go the artist route that I wouldn't ever be with another artist cause, someone would die.

I'd like to be with another artist because when you are as serious an artist as I am, artists are the only people that can stand you, and the only people you can stand are artists. Sure, there are exceptions, but this has been the case in many of my experiences. I strive to find attractive pianists, with all that said.

I can see how that, could be really really true...although I just want to say that first hand (my mom's an artist) that sometimes artist really need something down to earth to remind them Yes, we have to stay here in this apartment. No, we can not travel the world in an RV now, although when we have the finances we'll see. Dear, did you remember to pay the water bill?...stuff like that. But, I get the whole "understanding" thing as well. I'm not trying to argue I'm just presenting another perspective.

To me Lise de la Salle looks like a 5 year old boy. Same with Grimaud. French women just have a very brittle, boyish look to them. A bit of a turnoff. Lola Astanova isn't bad, though.
