Lucas Debargue - A Matter of Life or Death
Pianist Lucas Debargue recently recorded the complete piano works of Gabriel Fauré on the Opus 102, a very special grand piano by Stephen Paulello. Eric Schoones from the German/Dutch magazine PIANIST had a conversation with him. Read more >>

How are you?
on: May 18, 2009, 01:50:02 AM
How are you today?

I'm sleepier than I've ever been in my entire life.

and it is also 42 degrees here.

Which means 106 (or somewhere between there and 110) degrees for people that use fahrenheit.

Excuse me while I faint.

This morning I woke up to a persistant barking of a dog across the street at 4:30.
Been feeling tired all day, plus real lonely too,
Nobody to talk to that I want talk about... :(..
I feel misplaced somewhere inside of me and trying to figure that out.... ???
Tomorrow is another day...*sigh* in which I hope to feel more awake and ready to  practice
      my piano and violin......
Yesterday was the day that passed,
Today is the day I live and love,Tomorrow is day of hope and promises...

Excuse me while I faint.

You're excused. :)

Hey, I'm fine ... yup, everything around here is just ... dandy ... couldn't be better  :D.

Okay, but really, it started off kind of ho hum, up too late last night and I felt like I was dragging myself through the day.  Had a difficult time getting my head in the right place for practicing because of all of these silly, stupid things ... but, then, after hours of persistence, I DID manage and I am having a great time going about it !!

Cheers !

Thought farenheit was Celsius+32? Whatever.
Pretty good here, had work tonight and sorted out a coworker. Weather is pretty good at the moment, sitting on 16 degrees. Looking forward to playing some nocturnes in the rain... :)

I woke up this morning at 3:30......trying to get back to *reality*
I'm real tired now,  with a headache, and  have a day of practicing the piano and violin....
And oh, hum, just lonely right now, and no one to talk to.  Perhaps, the day will
pick up later on.   *sigh*

I'm fine, thank you.

Seriously, I miss my love after less than one day of being together. Some neighborhood band is rehearsing and I can hear them, when I should be trying to get to sleep! So yeah, I'm cranky but it could be worse. Lessons tomorrow, I just hope I can cram all the material in the morning because I'm tired now, it's almost 10 pm.

I hope you enjoy your piano anyhow. Wish me luck too because I need it.

Tomorrow I have no students to teach so my day ought to be more relaxful.  I don't what it is,  the blahs or whatever..... :P   ::)   ???   :-\    :'(

I'm confused now, and I haven't been so pissed in a while. My therapist is such an a**, instead of supporting me he sided with mom and insisted I get a job. I have to start working tomorrow, I have a recital on Saturday and classes start in two weeks. I'm on my graduating year, and it's supposed to be tough. This is insane. I went to my therapist because I thought was going to be crazy if I don't, and he just kicked me off the edge.

I have been having trouble with a certain person, but apparently she's experiencing the same thing. I see I've been paranoid lately and unfair to her... I'm sorry I ever thought that way.

My playing was okay today despite not being able to practice for a whole day up to the performance... and the fact that I rushed to school despite the weather and a terrible night. I wasn't able to sleep until 4 am, and woke up later to find that it's too late to practice... So many things are happening... blurrrrrrrrr

i can't do this.

I went to work twice. I admit i need the money, but i can't do this. even if it's just looking after the store. the noise is terrible. sometimes they're hammering on metal, that hurts. you need to turn up the CD player to drown it out. ANY music is better. i'm so exhausted right now, i had to wait until we close at 7, i wanted to sleep so bad but it's too late by the time i got home.

at first i thought, i'm gonna make this work, earn some money to buy some music stuff, but now i know it's IMPOSSIBLE. forget about sheet music, i hadn't studied anything at home since i started, i come home to crash and that's it. my ears are bleeding, and my mind is numb from all the noise and people-watching... and i think, what if she's online right now? what if any of my friends are on now? i just want to be with them. and i would much rather be alone than this. is this what normal people do? work jobs they hate to buy things they don't need? well i hate it.

you think that it's wrong to have my motivation outside myself, but that doesn't make sense. that's a meaningless life. i see my brother is living a meaningless life with his employees. when they're not working, either they're eating/drinking soda or talking about an online game. kuya is intelligent, but it doesn't show in the shop, and no wonder he's gained weight. i couldn't help but drink some coke, they had that stuff all day. this is ridiculous. hey i'm not criticizing my brother here, i like him a lot and everyone knows that. but i hatehatehate that place, and i can't tell him about it. i mean it's JUST a job. it has no meaning whatsoever. there are several bike stores in town. and people don't really need bikes anyway.

my head and feet still hurt and i can't sleep. i wish she were here to comfort me. she's the meaning of my life, i'm sure...

Yes kiddo, that is just about it.

Over here in England, it is more benefecial to go out and kill someone. That way, you get to stay in one of our luxury prisons. You can then spend all day talking to your mates and playing on your x box. You get a roof over your head and three good meals a day all for free.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of space, many of our murderers have been let out of jail into the real World. Many have had to kill even more people to get back into jail, such is its popularity.

Welcome to the workers.

well, I don't want to kill myself, because life is too precious, even with the bad days....
I try to find the humor in a situation and laugh about it and do or say something silly.
I know day after day, I have to look for something that will make me a smile.  Music is my
solace and strength.  I love music.  It is the most wonderful thing upon the earth for people.
I may have a bad day, but I know that the next day will get better.....somehow, inspite of the stresses
and challenges that life offers.

Well I feel Great, just bursting out of my tities. It’s a public holiday here in Australia today (why I don’t care). Actually it’s Christmas day (well it’s Christmas everyday – my only gripe is that I don’t get time for the real thing I’m too busy). Last Christmas I went and played piano in a nursing home and they all loved it (but they’d be all dead now I’m sure) and after I finally found a shop that was open I bought a cappo (a cappuccino; yes the guy at the servo thought I was a bit strange too) and went to the park to do a bit more practice on my portable keyboard and too read my book and some guy jogging past yells out to me “What are you doing here, it’s Christmas Day” so I yelled back “It’s Christmas Day everyday” you idiot I said under my breath. I’m gona go and do some piano practice now and play like me... when I get off this damn net.

Hmm, I've always wondered how a alledged diety, after creating the whole expanse of the universe in a single day (including some intriguingly humouristical details to confuse cosmologists) by snapping the proverbial finger, took a whole day to create what comes down to some redesigning of your basic monkey (and the wrong monkey at that, for starters), made such a mess of it. :'(
No doubt this earns me some yards of text from lostinidlewording, but hey!

Musicians more important than the music? Ehh???? :o :o :o Never mind what they play, as long as they play???
Sorry, but composers can work perfectly without musicians, while all musicians would be obsolete if there were no composers!

Pity to read someone else is the meaning of your life... If she were the completion of your life, you could be a lucky guy!

Expect no comment about the deity from me, but do you really think humans are a mess lol?

Sorry, but composers can work perfectly without musicians, while all musicians would be obsolete if there were no composers!

Sounds like the chicken and the egg. So which came first, the musician or the composer? But wait, they are both human, and without them, there would be no music to play!

Pity to read someone else is the meaning of your life... If she were the completion of your life, you could be a lucky guy!

I don't think my life is anywhere near complete.

No wonder, as you have a tendency to let the meaning of your life fully depend on other persons than yourself :P Sorry but that's what I think.

I don't mind. It's a deep-seated belief (problem?) that I've had for so long. I've tried to cut it out, but then someone would come along... and there I go again.

Expect no comment about the deity from me, but do you really think humans are a mess lol?
I give no "verdict" on individual humans, they run the gamut from the worst to the best.
Humanity, thát is a different matter. As the writer Terry Pratchett so very well observed: "The IQ of a mob is the IQ of its dumbers member devided by the number of members". Humanity at large is the biggest mob, so... You only have to follow the news a bit..

Sounds like the chicken and the egg. So which came first, the musician or the composer?
The egg came first. The first musicians were the first composers v.v.

But wait, they are both human, and without them, there would be no music to play!
Yes, and they, as individuals, run too the gamut from the worst to the best. Happily, the best make up for the worst. I can bare MTV and the like in the knowledge that there is some Bach outthere too.

I don't think my life is anywhere near complete.
Which gives you the opportunity to still add and learn. Treasure that! Imagine your life complete, you couldn't add anything to it any more!

I do hope you will find a way to heal your inner self!
In the long run, any words about music are less important than the music. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not worth talking to (Shostakovich)
