(sorry for the crude language, but hey...I don't want to censor myself. > : ((((( )

I just can't get over this piece, it's soo beautiful...
I feel like a born again pianist. The world of Bach is so amazing.

Yep. Be proud of your appreciation. Alkan liked Bach too

Ever tried exploring Bach repertoire on harpsichord? Listening, I mean. To me it was a life changing experience, more than 10 years ago.

Oh and the preludes to the English suites are in my opinion the most attractive Bach there is. You won't be able to keep your pants on. Probably.
Beethoven-Alkan, concerto 3
Faure barcarolle 10
Mozart-Stradal, symphony 40

Or at least pull them back up.  I've been feeling the same way about Bach recently.  First it was hearing Schiff play the French Suites (particularly 1 and 4), then it was further exploring WTC 1 and the English Suites, after hearing the Goldberg Variations played by Perahia, Gould, and Tureck, I was a lost cause.

Actually, I discovered the solo suites and sonatas for violin and cello last year and reacted a lot like mjames. Particularly the ones for violin, probably listened to them every single night for about a month.

Just wait till you dig into the organ works.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
