Meh... I live in Australia, so spiders don't worry me.

We have to worry about poisonous snakes. I don't think anyones been worried about a spider biting them on the toilet...

Are you a bird? If not, then why should you worry?

Then you'd better leave again!

Never mind, surely you have some banjo practice to do and/or some more obscure Romantic piano concertos to scan?...

Would be funnier to watch as well.

That's nice attempt at an owl cake you've got going there.  Good job.   *maniacal laughter, and actually out loud.*  (there's no maniacal laughter smiley to go with that)

I had another pic, but I'm just going to bump up two levels and save everyone some effort.

Yes, that's a cake.

You have to think bigger than that...

It's impressive, but not as good as:

Yes, and it is a cake.

Looks like skyscrapers down there on the right.  But there wouldn't be a city like that that close to a mountain.  And it looks like he's sitting.  So he's either crouched awkwardly, sitting on a plane wing, or something like that.  Or there's one skyscraper that's way taller than the rest?

Looks pretty smug about sitting there too.

Except.... Wouldn't you think Superman has a super immune system and wouldn't get drunk at all?  Or maybe it take a zillion bottles to get him drunk?  Or maybe he gets super drunk?  With everything he's super-endowed at, why is drinking "normal" for him?  He's an alien after all.  Why is alcohol affecting him exactly the same as a human?  For sure, he's not human.    Whatever.  ::)

So... the fact that he's invulnerable to bullets (technically a man of steel), yet can move around freely, faster than any normal man can and can even fly...

...and YOU question why he gets drunk???

This is why I don't get into arguments with comic book fans - they assume that physics just doesn't exist.

it's called consistency...
Superman's metabolism (his cells work crazy fast) can break down any sort of toxins at such a rate that he wouldn't even feel its effects. It applies to alcohol too. It wold actually tons and tons of alcohol to get him tipsy. XD

Okay - then how is it he can fly??? We all know that gravity is a pregnant dog, and yet he seems to display no aerodynamic ability to fly through the air??? Any explanation of how that works?

FFS, I'm not saying that I care about science in fantasy/supernatural/sci-fi settings. I'm saying that even if your story requires 'suspension of belief', you still have to maintain a sort of logic consistency within the story. If the author makes a mention of Superman having an extremely high metabolic rate that prevents him from being affected by human food/drinks/poisons/toxins etc, then the same should apply for alcohol. Though to be fair that would just be a little plothole and I don't think anyone would care about if he did drunk, unless they're pedantic.

As for superman's ability to fly, it depends on the series. Last one I read said something about him having the ability to alter gravity fields or something, a weaker form of telekinesis.

There he goes....

That means in the movie he either went through a lot of bottles or... He was only acting like he was drunk.  Or maybe it was the placebo effect.

Seems to be a common superhero question.  Apparently if he's getting everything from our yellow sun, he doesn't need to eat, breath, sleep, and alcohol wouldn't affect him.
