Poll --- Where is the U.S. are you?
on: July 07, 2005, 01:49:58 AM
For U.S. pf'ers only I guess.

My spidi-senses tell me most are in the New England area, several in the midwest, a few in California and possible a few in Texas.

Let's see if I'm right.

eastern.  will this help with insomnia in some way?  i'm open to alternate therapies.  maybe once i am used to the humidity in the daytime - will not hop around from piano, to computer, to tv at night.

ok.  i live in pennsylvania.  it is the greenest place in the usa (besides georgia) and reminds me of what ireland must be like.  people are friendly.  and, and there is an abundance of wildlife here.  deer, squirrels, foxes, badgers, skunks, turtles, birds (audubon used to live here).  samuel barber (the composer/pianist used to live here).  west chester university is here.  the only thing about pennsylvania is the occasional rainstorm or deluge that causes flooding in low areas.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.

Southeast - North Carolina.  Very beautiful, diverse state.  Of course, most states are usually diverse.  Going from the beach in the east, to the Appalacian "mountains" on the Western side.  (Mountains in quotes, because I just got back from seeing the Alps which makes Appalacians look like little hills in comparison.)  And then everything in between.

Hmmm.....  a serious pianist with an internet connection.... I imagine the majority would have to be near a large city -- a place with enough culture to create that person and a place with enough students to support a piano teacher.

Not necessarily true though -- Are there any truly rural people on here?

I am as rural as they come. My city has around 3,000 people in the city limits. Now what makes this amazing is that because there are no cities around us for 15 miles in each direction, our city limits rival that of houston. from North to South the city limits are approx.25 miles long and East to West it is approx. 20 miles long. I have to travel 35 min. to get to a city with a grocery store and other necessities.

Of course... Hawaii and Alaska are still in the U.S., but are they in these time zones?
